If you've ever had a child with glue ear, you'll know that it can be messy, painful and persistent.
It doesn't respond to antibiotics, steroids, decongestants or antihistamines.
Some children really seem to suffer from repetitive episodes and it can impair hearing by or eventing the tiny bones of the ear ones from vibrating.
However there is certainly some evidence now that blowing through the nose into a balloon can help. This is due to the link between the ear and the nose by the Eustachian tube.
